1987 Albin Palm Beach 37
The Albin Palm Beach 37 is undoubtedly the best layout of any 36-38ft trawler around. Instead of riding the kind of semi-displacement hull used in most trawler designs, the Albin 37 was built on a higher-speed modified-V hull, making it a much better performer than a traditional trawler.
This particular example has always been freshwater and has been maintained by her current owners since 1996, with detailed Captain's logs. The props have just been rebalanced, and the bottom has been recently sand blasted and sealed with inter-protect and anti-fouling paint.
The most notable feature of this model is her unique floor plan. Here, the master stateroom is forward and the aft cabin, where the master stateroom usually resides, is fitted with a U-shaped setter that converts into a double berth. This arrangement adds a good deal of versatility to the aft cabin which can serve as not just a second stateroom for guests, but as a den for liveaboards or even a place for kids to play.
