Designed by Sparkman & Stevens, This 33 has many cruising features with upgraded components throughout. Dodger, bimini, swim platform & solar panels have all been added to enhance cruising comfort. The Scheel keel gives good shoal keel performance. Fitted winter cover & folding steel cradle. Kilty has seen most of her life in the Great Lakes & is ready to go in Midland, Ontario.
Deck & rig
Bow & stern rails, double lifelines & gates. Stern swim platform with integral boarding ladder. Pedestal steering. Teak cockpit table. Cockpit cushions. 8 opening ports, 2 overhead hatches & screens. Self tailing primary winches. Boomkicker boom vang.
The Tartan 33 features a fractional rigged sail plan. Furling genoa, & updated mainsail with lazy jacks. Cruising spinnaker. 2 additional headsails. Adjustable backstay. Lines led aft.
Interior
The 33 layout features a v berth, head to starboard with hanging locker & drawers opposite. The main salon has settees to port & starboard, with a fold down dinette table off the starboard main bulkhead. The starboard settee converts to a comfortable bunk. Both open & closed storage lockers behind each settee. The galley is L shaped & has an alcohol stove & oven. Cold pressure water is drawn from both the water tank & the lake. The ice box with 12v refrigeration is opposite the galley. There is a good sized quarterberth with a fold down chart table. full headroom throughout. Teak & holly cabin sole. There is a deep bilge which allows for additional bottle or can storage.
Electronics
Batteries are updated & consist of a deep cycle AGM house battery & starting battery. Trucharge 10a battery charger, Shore power with breaker panel. 230W solar panel with controller.
Raymarine Bidata speed & depth. Raymarine smart pilot requires service. Garmin GPS. VHF radio with remote mike & Alpine stereo.
Additional information
The prop is a 2 blade feathering propeller. The holding tank was replaced with a custom plastic tank in 2015. New solar vent. The rudder was dropped & rebuilt in 2020.
