Master Stateroom: Features an off-set queen island berth with an innerspring mattress, two hanging lockers, five storage drawers, seven storage cabinets, two bedside tables, and a privacy door. It includes a screened transom hatch, two opening portlights, stereo speakers, and a private head compartment with a stall shower and vanity with a solid-surface countertop and mirrored medicine cabinet.

Guest Stateroom: Offers a queen island berth with storage underneath, two bedside tables, a mirrored headboard, a circular overhead hatch, two portlights, four storage cabinets, a privacy door, a private head compartment with a vanity that includes an undermount sink, a mirrored medicine cabinet, and a private shower compartment.

Salon: This full-beam cabin includes a frameless two-tier window system, cherry wood cabinetry with handcrafted wood trim, cut pile marine carpet, and a Flexsteel chamois UltraLeather sofa with storage below. Amenities include a TV, stereo, custom wood dining table with four chairs, cabin stairway with cherry wood railing, solid surface countertops, AC/DC distribution panels, an acrylic entrance door with a sliding screen, mini blinds, and floor access hatches for the engine room.

Bridge: The centerline helm is equipped with an adjustable pedestal helm seat and a companion seat. There's an L-shaped passenger lounge that seats five, with storage below, a wet bar with a fridge, custom carpet, and a fiberglass equipment arch.

Aft Deck: Features a hardtop with a canvas enclosure, acrylic wing doors, port and starboard access gates, a transom door, and custom carpet.

Steel hawse pipes, a transom walkway, and a swim platform: Simulated teak decking with molded steps leading to the aft deck, featuring a stainless steel railing, a fiberglass storage locker, a dinghy davit system, and a pedestal-mounted BBQ. The galley includes solid surface countertops, under-counter cherry wood cabinets and drawers, with additional cabinet and drawer storage on the opposite side. It has wood plank flooring, a 3-burner electric Ceran top, a built-in microwave (2018), a coffee maker, an upright fridge/freezer, and a stainless steel sink with a cover.

Navigation:Raymarine Hybridtouch display, Raytheon VHF, Raytheon ST7000+ Autopilot, Raytheon open array radar antenna, Raymarine ST60 Tridata (covering speed, depth, trip), a Ritchie compass, and a remote controlled spotlight.

Equipment: on board includes an 8.5 kW Onan generator, bow thruster, three air conditioning/heating units, Maxwell all chain windlass, a central vacuum system, AM/FM/CD stereo (located in the salon), and VacuFlush heads. It also boasts water and waste tank level monitors, exhaust power vents in the heads, a pressure hot and cold water system with an 11-gallon hot water tank, a dockside water inlet, two 50-amp shore power inlets and power cords, 50-amp to 30-amp adapters, a battery charger, batteries for both house and engine starting, along with bilge pumps (3), hydraulic steering and trim tabs, an engine oil change system, internal sea water strainers, an engine sync gauge, an automatic fire suppression system in the engine compartment, and foredeck sun pads.

Carver 396 Motor Yacht Description

The Carver 396 Motor Yacht is a coastal cruising vessel that combines quality construction with good interior accommodations for two couples or a family. It features a strong, stable ride with a design that incorporates Carver's new exterior styling. The yacht is based on the traditional aft-cabin Motor Yacht layout, offering great interior headroom and open spaces throughout. It is a scaled-down version of the larger 506 Motor Yacht, but it retains many standard features at an affordable price. The Carver 396 is known for its unitized aluminum construction, which provides strong support for the flying bridge deck above the salon.

Back aboard, the aft deck is permanently covered with a fiberglass hardtop providing 6’8” headroom and Carver’s left it open for your furnishings. But in keeping with what Carver describes as its “Great Room” design theme, the aft deck is also open to the flying bridge so guests can talk easily with everyone up at the helm.

It’s three molded steps up to the bridge, and here you’ll find a curved lounge for four adults along the portside, with a centerline pedestal helm chair and portside companion chair. The helm itself is fully forward, with a tilt-wheel steering and wide dash panel which has plenty of room to flushmount electronics. With a forward helm such as this you’d expect great visibility ahead, but oftentimes you lose visibility aft—not so on the 396. Carver has cleverly installed a Plexiglas window panel between the radar arch and the hardtop to maintain climate control at the bridge and good visibility aft, and when it’s time to back into the slip simply open the portside transom door and you can almost see the end of the swim platform from the helm position. In short, the 396 offers excellent visibility all around.

The Great Room theme continues below decks as well, as the main salon and galley down are all open for conversation and easy walk-through traffic. The salon itself features an UltraLeather sofa for two persons which pulls out to make a double bed, across from a large L-shaped lounge for four adults that has two built-in recliners. Between them a lift-out panel in the sole provides good access to the engine room

A single step down and forward leads to the L-shaped galley to port, and here you’ll find everything you’ll need for week-long living aboard, including three-burner cooktop, convection/microwave oven, separate refrigerator and freezer, and great cabinet stowage. While there is no separate dining area on the 396 in which to serve your fare, a standard hi-lo table in the salon does double duty during both the cocktail- and dinner hours.

Fully forward is the guest stateroom, which would qualify for the owner’s stateroom on many similar-sized yachts. It’s completely private thanks to a sliding cherry wood door, and this stateroom features a semi-circular island double berth with two access steps on either side, along with good cabinet stowage both above and below the berth.
